No. Use it for under-sampled, dithered data with good seeing; otherwise classic stacking is cleaner.

CRF or bitrate

CRF for consistent quality; bitrate for strict size targets.

PNG, TIFF, FITS

FITS/TIFF 16-bit for editing; PNG/WEBP for web.
